Whether it is meeting our Lord in Word and Sacrament, praising Him in song and prayer, working for Him in the office, teaching children to grow in His love, or serving Him in the world beyond our walls, what makes a church a church is the people who come together in His  Name. So join us for worship and fellowship this Sunday.

PRAYER, PRAISE AND PBJ's - next gathering on June 6 in the library

We're setting aside the first Wednesday of every month to Pray, Praise God, and have some PBJ's.  Jesus invites us to pray often, giving Him our concerns and finding rest in Him.  This is a time we can lift up those we care about in prayer, as well as share any burdens we ourselves may carry.  It's also a time for quiet reflection ... when we can "be still and know that He is God."

We start at 6:00 p.m., spending time in prayer and praises to God until 6:30 p.m.  Then we share fellowship over a simple meal of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  If time is of the essence, we welcome you to pray with us from 6:00 and leave when you need to.  Come join us as we take a moment to be with our Lord and Savior in prayer and praise.

BROWNIE TROOP - 819  next meeting  - May 16

God has created us and given us new life in Christ, and the Gospel has called us to lead the congregation and community to experience God's love through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

THEREFORE:
We, the members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, are moved by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Gospel. We will use our God-given gifts to build each other up in God's Spirit and reach out to our community with love and grace of Christ through Word and deed.

TO DO THIS WE WILL:

         WITNESS to the congregation and the community through service, prayer and personal sharing of God's love;

        CELEBRATE by providing an environment in our congregation in which to praise God's love through Word, forgiveness, deed, and sacrament and, as part of this spiritual growth, reach out to the community;

          NURTURE everyone through a caring, loving, supportive environment in which to study the Word and apply the Gospel to people's needs;

          SERVE others with our God-given gifts, motivated by the Spirit to fulfill God's purpose;

          Help others realize that their spiritual and material gifts come from God and can be used to enrich our church and community through STEWARDSHIP;

          Involve every member in the loving, caring community of Christ, using Bible study and congregational activities to promote spiritual growth through FELLOWSHIP.
